About Miss MollyWe love to do everything in our business with a respect for humanity and a deep care and consideration for the environment.
How it all started
With a creative arts background and a deep love for nature and textiles that runs through her family, Linda Sheahan knew she needed to bring linen to Australia’s bedrooms after encountering it on her travels though Europe.
The texture, look and feel, and most of all the sustainable superiority and natural quality got her hooked and in 2010 Miss Molly Eco Lux Linen was born to make a difference to the quality of how we live, sleep and dress.
Miss Molly started at the local Illawarra markets, grew slowly into an online store and now also has a little shopfront down on the NSW South Coast. The little Miss Molly family grew. Today Miss Molly linen can be found around Australia in gorgeous homes, bed and breakfasts and resorts.
Passionate about sustainability
Flax linen continues to be the most sustainable textile known to (wo)man. And passion for the environment and beautiful textiles is the primary reason Miss Molly Linens came to be.
In our store and when sending your packages, we continuously work on minimising our environmental impact. We avoid using plastics and are transitioning to 100% compostable and carbon neutral mailer bags. Since 2019 we have reduced our poly bag consumption by 95%* and we are using cellophane or paper to wrap your products, wherever possible.
If we have excess clothes or fabric it gets donated, recycled or passed on to those who need it through the Thread Together charity,
*We are using a compostable satchel made from corn starch from the Better Packaging Co. These can be composted through any standard home composting bin or worm farm.
Our ethical supply chain
We are committed to working ethically and are proud and transparent about our supply chain and the partners we work with.
All of our pure linen is made from long fibre flax grown in Europe, woven to a quality weight, ideal for the Australian climate. It is made into clothing, bedding and homewares in a ethically-run, family-owned factory in Shenzhen, China.
Our linen maker is SA8000 rated, meaning they have been independently audited for their social accountability in relation to protection of workers' rights, including fair wages and good working conditions.
Prior to the pandemic, we visited the textile factory regularly, and hope to do so again in the near future. We have enjoyed seeing this company flourish as a supplier of some of the best quality linen across the globe.
We love working with people who share the same values as us.
Pure linen – certified eco credentials
Our linen is also OEKO-TEX® standard 100 certified, ensuring that it is made to the highest standards regarding non-toxic dyes. We are committed to offer the safest textiles all dyes used have minimal environmental impact and are also safe for human health.
People are really important to us, and we always consider how we can support artisans, small family businesses, our lovely staff and customers who care as much as we do about the environment and how we run a business in the world.

… and why “Miss Molly” we hear you ask? Little Molly was Linda’s muse and canine companion. We celebrate her cheeky self in the Miss Molly logo.
